The vibe at Ulla Johnson is always effortless and ethereal and the SS27 NYFW show was that and more. Editorial hairstylist Diego da Silva was once again the hair lead, creating the runway’s fully individualized hairstyles.
Da Silva shares, “We decided on a specific texture that we adapted to each model’s individual hair type. It is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Ulla wanted to maintain a certain rawness in the hair, while keeping the overall finish soft, effortless, and flawless.”
He adds, “Using Wella Professionals product allowed us to achieve these looks with confidence. Due to the variety of hair types and the use of hot tools, we worked with a wide range of products, adapting them according to each model’s hair needs. Overall, we adapted the Wella Professionals products and techniques to the condition of the hair on the day, ensuring that each look remained individual, effortless, and true to Ulla Johnson.”
