“The Diplomat” star didn’t win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series but she had an outstanding red carpet hairstyle. Wearing a custom black leather halter dress from Khait with an equally daring slick back bun by frequent collaborator Anthony Campbell. So perfect was the paring, we’re calling the hairstyle a “Black Leather Slick Back.”
Campbell says, “For Keri’s Emmys look we wanted to do something sleek and clean… and with some shine to complement Keri’s dress.” He did that beautifully by cocktailing RŌZ haircare products. More on that combination and styling techniques, directly from Campbell himself below.
Get the Look:
- “I prepped Keri’s hair with RŌZ Root Lift Spray, then blew it out straight and back. A flat iron set the hair in place for a slicked-back finish.
- I then added 2 pumps of RŌZ Santa Lucia Styling Oil, before brushing back into a clean ponytail.
- Three to four pumps of RŌZ Milk Hair Serum worked through the length to control the hair and add shine.
- I pinned the ponytail into a bun and finished with a small amount of RŌZ Evergreen Style Cream to smooth any flyaways.
- Lastly, I finished the look with Parfums De Marly Valaya Hair Perfume by misting it directly onto her hair. It was the perfect finishing touch! It had a beautiful floral and woody scent that was a great companion for the fall season and to complete Keri’s Emmys Look”
